why detail matters in design-led photography
Detail is where a project's character is held. The cornice, the corner, the fold of linen — small images that carry the whole.

A wide shot tells you what a space is. A detail tells you what it feels like. Both matter — but it is the detail that often carries the most weight in editorial use.
A close study of carved marble, a brass handle, the join of a stair rail: these become the images that linger. They are the sentences a brand or a studio quotes from itself.
Photographing detail well takes time. The right light, the right hand, the right restraint. It is the discipline of not over-styling — of letting a beautiful thing be a beautiful thing.
